Course description

Law embraces every aspect of our lives, from crime to the environment, from buying a bus ticket to resolving international disputes. Studying Law offers you the chance to see how the law affects you.

Law covers a wide range of topics, from the various ways in which law is created; the methods involved in solving legal disputes; fatal and non-fatal offences; offences against property and finally laws relating to morals and justice.

Entry requirements

Grade C in English.

The Law course is an extremely popular and highly enjoyable course, if you are fully prepared to undertake the vast amount of work involved. You must have good written skills and be able to write detailed answers to essay style questions and case scenarios.

Future opportunities

Many students have gone on to read Law at university and pursue employment within the legal profession.

Studying Law can open many doors for future careers, including working in the public sector such as the police force, social services, probation service and education.
