Professional Bakery Level 2 Certificate at Accrington and Rossendale College
This one year programme will provide a foundation for a career in the Bakery Industry. You will develop practical skills in bread and confectionery, working in our new state-of -the-art bakery areas.
You will cover a variety of industry areas both practically and in theory, assessing the science behind the product alongside producing high quality bakery goods.
There will be a selection of industry speakers and enrichment activities. There will also be oppurtunities to compete in local, regional and national qualifications.
- Bread making
- Laminated dough production
- Advanced Pastry products
- Sponge and cake products
- Chocolate work
4 GCSEs at D – G (including English and Maths) or Level 1 Introductory qualification in Catering/Food Industry Skills or General Catering qualifications.
Practical assessments within the bakery. Assignments and knowledge questions for theory.
This course is free of charge for 16 – 18 year olds.
Level 3 Professional Bakery or specialise in Patiserie at Level 3.
