Beauty Therapy Level 2 Certificate at Heart of Worcestershire College

Course description

Do you enjoy giving your friends manicures and facials? Or can’t wait to try out the latest make-up trends? Do you dream of turning your passion for beauty into a career? If the answer is yes then this is the course for you. This course balances theory with some great hands-on experience. At one of our onsite salons you will learn how to provide manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing and eye treatments, and discover different ways to apply make-up. You will carry out reception duties, offer advice to customers and promote products to clients.

Entry requirements

You must have 4 GCSEs A-D including English and maths or an appropriate Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject.


You will be assessed through a portfolio. Each unit is delivered individually to ensure you gain the skills you need.

Future opportunities

At the end of the qualification you can further develop your knowledge and skills by undertaking a technical level qualification in beauty at Level 3 or progress into a career as a Beauty Therapist in various contexts such as commercial beauty salons, independent/self-employed/mobile/home based settings and beauty retail concessions.

Subjects taught at Alliance House include bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, site carpentry, bench joinery, multi-trade construction operations, plastering, plumbing and painting and decorating. The building is equipped with purpose built working environments allowing you to develop real-life working skills to prepare you for life after college.

      Located on Albert Street, Osprey House is the College’s central office. It is also home to the College’s higher education and professional courses.
