Triple BTEC in Engineering at Blackpool Sixth Form College

Course description

 

BTEC Engineering is an exciting new qualification which will provide an excellent pathway into careers in engineering and many other areas of modern technology. You will work mainly as part of a project team, experiencing the different roles of the professional engineer.

This course is an Extended Diploma (equivalent to 3 A levels). It is also available as the Diploma (equivalent to 2 A levels).

Entry requirements

You must have at least a grade C in GCSE Maths and CC in Double Award Science (or the BTEC equivalent). If you have taken three separate sciences at GCSE, then you should have at least a C grade in Physics.

Exam board: Edexcel

Future opportunities

You will be able to progress from the course to further study or training in the engineering and technology sector. The course is a good preparation for employment in a wide range of technical roles.
