Course description

This course is only available for those who have successfully completed the 90 Credit Diploma in Construction.

This course is designed top provide the learner with a broad introduction to the construction sector by providing specialist study directly relevant to construction and for those who are looking for one of the many design, technical or professional careers in construction.

It provides a direct stepping stone into either further study (such as progression on to University) or employment in to roles such as Architecture, Surveying, Structural Engineering and Project Management.

On successful completion of the full Extended Diploma, you could progress onto one of our Construction or Civil Engineering HNC followed by HND and BSc or CIOB courses.

Further information

All 16-19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies.
