Light Vehicle Engineering Level 2 Diploma at Accrington and Rossendale College

Course description

Theory and practical of light vehicle. Practical sessions will involve use of specialist tools and equipment, working on a range of cars from different manufacturers, including customers

Entry requirements

A recognised qualification in Motor Engineering at Level 1 or relevant industrial experience.


You will be assessed by direct observation of practical tasks in the workshops and online tests of your knowledge of theory.

Financial information

This course is free of charge for 16 – 18 year olds.

This course will cost a maximum of £480 for learners aged 19 years old or above. This fee may be reduced or void depending on the individual’s circumstances.

Future opportunities

Employment in the motor industry and progression to the level 3 qualification either full time or industry based.
