This subject is essential if you want to pursue a career in the health & medical industries.

Course content

You will study a number of specialist areas and study in laboratories with excellent equipment and facilities.

Entry requirements

  • At least 8 GCSEs including English and Maths
  • An average point score appropriate for your chosen pathway from all your GCSE subjects

Future opportunities

Chemistry is a qualification that will allow you to progress to university or employment in areas such as medicine, chemical engineering, pharmacology and biochemistry.

    • We are the next generation of 6th Form, committed to ensuring all of our students have access to high-quality teaching whilst accessing strong employer links and focused career pathways.

      Career 6 will be based at The Academy Grimsby (TAG). 

      The TAG ethos of understanding the students and enabling them all to grow as individuals will flow into Career 6 and the bespoke stand-alone campus will grow with the sixth form.

      All school leavers will be welcome to apply and will be given a personal interview as part of the admissions process. Aspirational targets will be set as part of that personal discussion to ensure the chosen pathway is right for the student.
