Course description

Why should I study Diploma in Child Education Level 2(One Year Course)?

Students will need to have a strong desire to want to work with children, as this is a Level 2 qualification specifically designed for anyone wanting to learn the skills needed to work with children. Two days every week are spent in a variety of placements throughout the year. The course is divided up into “bite-sized” chunks so that you can learn gradually and at an even pace throughout the course. The course has 100% pass rate and an excellent reputation amongst employers.

What skills can I gain from studying Diploma in Child Education Level 2 (One Year Course)?

Students will gain a range of skills including professionalism, time management, research skills and communication skills. As the course includes two days’ work placement every week students not only gain a well-recognised qualification but also the essential experience employers are looking for.

Entry requirements

A range of subjects at D or E level grades at GCSE.

A sensible and mature attitude towards work and study, patience and understanding and a good level of self-control.

Future opportunities

This Level 2 qualification provides opportunities for progressionto further study of the CACHE Level 3 Diploma, NVQ or Apprenticeship training.

Students who have completed the course have gone ontogain employment as Assistant Playgroup Workers; Assistants in Children’s Centres, Nurseries and Schools.
