Independent Living - Looking After Yourself & Your Home NOCN Entry Level 1 Certificate at Havering College of Further and Higher Education

Course description

These qualifications are designed to develop some of the basic skills needed to look after yourself independently.

Course content

You will follow a curriculum which will include:

• Personal Care • Leisure Activities & Personal Development • Household Skills

An accredited maths & English qualification will be studied alongside this. You will also participate in enterprise activities and have the opportunity to undertake a supported work placement.

The qualification is called NOCN Entry Level Certificate in Independent Living.

Entry requirements

There are no formal requirements - entry is via successful interview.


Assessment is ongoing throughout the academic year.

Future opportunities

There is the opportunity for progression onto a higher level qualification.
