History A Level at De Aston School

Course description

The course content has been designed to be as varied as possible. The two units taken in Year 12 focus on 19th Century British and 20th Century German history. These were periods of great social, political and economic change. In Year 13 we study Russian history between 1855 and 1964 and undertake a 3000 word coursework element which counts for 20% of the overall A-level.

Special Features: The coursework in Y13 gives students the opportunity to create their own question on a topic of their own interest.
