Business BTEC level 3 Single Award at The Thomas Aveling School

Course description

This qualification has been developed in the Business sector to focus on education and training for employees working in business administration, marketing, human resources, accounting, ICT, legal and management areas of business. In Year 13 you will also organise an enterprise event and present work to companies in Medway and London.

Students undertake research and as such have a considerable choice as to what to include in their assignments. At all times we look to develop the personal experiences of the students offering opportunities for students to become independent learners, show self discipline and make conscious decisions based on the information they have gained. A firm grounding in general principles is provided through the use of texts, case studies, assignments, visits, mini projects and work experience. Students are expected to be able to consider their findings and be prepared to give oral presentations to their peers and visiting business people.
