Engineering Level 3 Sub Diploma at Northumberland College

Course description

This course is suitable for students who wish to follow a career in electrical, manufacturing or mechanical engineering.

Course content

You will study units including health and safety, Maths, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), electrical and mechanical principles and the usage of engineering materials. Ideal if you would like to work in engineering and want to train at a higher level.

Entry requirements

You should have four GCSEs at Grade C or above including English, Maths and Science or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

Assessment

Your progress will be assessed by assignments issued at regular intervals for each subject. They will need to be completed within a specified amount of time then handed in by a deadline date. There are no examinations for this course.

Future opportunities

After completing the course successfully you will be encouraged to consider progression onto a BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering or you might want to continue your career by gaining employment or seeking an apprenticeship or advanced apprenticeship.
