Hospitality & Catering Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 at PETROC

Course description

Hospitality and catering covers work in restaurants, hotels, caf├ęs, pubs and with contract caterers - it also supplies other industries with food and drink. An apprentice in this field will need to have an outgoing personality and be prepared to work in an environment which is largely shift based.

Course content

There are dozens of possible career options. Successful completion of the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) could lead to management or supervisory roles. This course can also be undertaken fully in the workplace through our Petroc Direct programme.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade D equivalent or above ideally to include maths and English. A passion for cooking is essential. You will also be required to have employment within a kitchen working a minimum of 16 hours per week to support you in developing your cookery and customer care skills.


Continual practical assessment in the workplace and at college. You would also have to successfully complete a series of short answer on line tests.
