Public and Uniformed Services Level 2 at Gateshead College

Course description

The course is designed for young people who want to gain some experience in the field before applying to their chosen service.

Public Uniformed Services includes the armed forces, police, fire, prison and paramedic services.

Recently there has been a lot of media coverage about public service cuts, however this certainly doesn't mean that opportunities in public services will disappear. Indeed, this form of employment remains one of the most important in the region and beyond.

This course is a nationally recognised qualification which has been designed to develop the essential skills that employers in public services are looking for.

Throughout the course you will need to wear a Gateshead College polo shirt and hooded sweatshirt, which you can buy at your induction.

You can progress to a range of careers in the public services or continue your studies with the Level 3 in Public Uniformed Services.
