Biology at St Cuthbert's High School

Course description

This new and exciting course aims to give insight into how the living world fits together by both building on work covered in GCSE Biology and introducing new areas of study. Students studying Biology at a more advanced level will be able to study topics in more detail. This course will stretch and challenge the students by introducing them to new concepts such as genetics, disease and the biochemistry behind many topics they have studied previously. The course combines a mixture of theory and practical activities and includes a field trip at the end of year 12.

5A*-C. A in Biology or AA inCore & Additional Science.210UMS in triple Science70 UMS for Core/AdditionalB at Maths GCSE. A or A* at GCSE highly desirable
