Course description

The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) is a combined knowledge and practice qualification for those support staff roles that directly support teaching and learning for example teaching assistants or learning support assistants.

Entry requirements

You should be working as a Teaching Assistant or Support Staff and gaining relevant work experience within a school setting


Evidence for this programme will be gathered using a selection of different methods including being observed in the workplace, answering written questions/assignments, completing reflective accounts, holding discussions with your assessor and producing evidence of your work. Additionally There are four workshops which learners will need to attend to complete this programme.

Future opportunities

Learners completing this qualification may progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF)
