ICT A level at Chancellor's School
AS - Students will develop a wide range of ICT skills together with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of ICT. This could form a basis for progression into further learning, including progression from AS to A2, and/or employment. Students are encouraged to become discerning users of ICT.
A2 - Students are expected to explore the need for communication between computer-based information systems, and between human users and computer-based information systems; design and selection of ICT solutions for a range of problems; have knowledge of a range of application areas and demonstrate knowledge of information and communications technologies and their applications and capabilities, both in general and within a context.
There are no optional units in the Advanced GCE specification. Students must take:
AS: Unit -G061 (theory 60%)
Unit -G062 (coursework 40%)
A2: Unit -G063 (theory 60%)
Unit -G064 (coursework 40%)
