Course description

The Level 3 Apprenticeship for the Children and Young People’s Workforce provides the skills and experience to develop your career in childcare in a wide range of settings. This qualification is designed to build the knowledge and practical skills when working with children and young people. It covers a diverse range of occupational areas, enabling Apprentices to gain experience within the workplace and putting theoretical work into practice. Areas covered include understanding Children’s Early Years Education and Development, Implementing Early Years Foundation Stage and Plan and Providing Effective Teaching and Learning in Early Years Settings.

Entry requirements

Relevant GCSEs and interest in the occupational area. You will also need a DBS Check

Financial information

Apprenticeships are Government funded, depending upon age and circumstance. 

Future opportunities

Apprentices may wish to progress onto a Foundation Degree in Children, Young People and their Services or seek permanent employment in the industry.
