Course description

This is a fantastic course for anyone who enjoys performing and/or would like to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. 

You’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is prepared to get stuck into everything from set design to costume. You’ll be exposed to a variety of different dramatic genres and you’ll take on challenging roles in a variety of performances. You’ll study at ncn Clarendon which has its own theatre where you’ll perform regularly.

Course content

You’ll need a strong interest in drama to get the most out of this course. It will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques essential for successful performance in many areas of working life.

You'll take part in a mixture of practical and theory sessions with an emphasis on practical learning. You'll be given the opportunity to explore differing styles or performance within theatre and will focus on its main practitioners. 

Entry requirements

You’ll need 5 GCSEs A*-C including English and an interest in drama.


You'll be assessed on coursework only, including essays, performances, and/or classroom-based assessments. 

Future opportunities

You could progress to a related higher education course such as theatre arts, drama or humanities. There are lots of careers open to you such as stage manager, performer, production manager, theatrical agent or teacher. If you are interested in studying another subject at university, the course will give you UCAS points to support this,
