Course description

This technical course is designed to provide a highly specialist, work-related qualification in a range of vocational sectors including: Finance. Marketing. Human Resources. The course will give you the knowledge, understanding and skills that are needed to prepare for employment in the appropriate vocational sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a particular area of work. The course is also designed to appeal to those interested in a career in Business and to those who already have experience of working in the sector. The five core units, all of which are fundamental to the success of business organisations, will give an introduction to and understanding of: The Business Environment Marketing Human Resources Management Business Accounting Other Areas to be covered include: Developing Teams Creative Product Promotion Recruitment and Selection

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at Grade A - C including English and Maths. "If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme."


All work is assessed via a portfolio of assignments consisting of 18 overall units. these portfolios will be externally moderated by an OCR examiner.

We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for University we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance. Students can progress to a Foundation Degree in Management.
