IB History *FEES PAYABLE* at Hurstpierpoint College

Course description

Late 19th and early 20th Century World History
The courses approach the study of History in a very thematic manner. At both Standard Level and Higher Level students will be challenged to review cause and consequence of a wide range of events across the late 19th and 20th Centuries. The Standard Level course consists of two examination papers and a coursework unit. The examination content addresses a range of major global political, social, economic and military events over a broad period of time, and students will be expected to draw links and make comparisons between them. The coursework element allows for individual choice of topic and is a research enquiry. The Higher Level course covers all of the Standard Level elements plus an extension examination. Higher Level candidates will achieve a more detailed understanding of the period and will review a broader range of topics.
