Course description

Contains modules on: 1) Physical geography: Water on Land, Climatic Hazards, Energy Life, Coats Geomorpological Processes and Hazards and Glaciation. 2) Human Geography: Settlement Patters, Population, Economic Activity, Managing Cities Challenges, Issues, Recreation, Tourism.

Entry requirements

To follow the advanced Level 3 route you must have 5 or more GCSEs at Grade C or above. You just have Grade B in the AS level subject options you wish to study or Grade C in applied subject options.

Future opportunities

You could take this course with other advanced level courses to prepare for higher education in geography, other areas of humanities, science or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to geography such as a Town Planner, Environmental Officer or Weather Forecaster. The course also helps you to develop the basic skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for.
