Cambridge Technical IT Introductory Diploma

Course content

Structure of the course The first year course consists of 3 units taken over one year. The first two units of the course are mandatory and are course-work based. These units are internally marked and externally moderated, The remaining unit is coursework based.

The units in the first year are:-

Unit 1 Communications and Employability Portfolio

Unit 2 Information Systems Portfolio

Unit 3 E Commerce Portfolio

The units in the second year are:- The units in the second year are optional and interchangeable depending upon the students skills and interests.

Entry requirements

Five A*-C grades at GCSE inclduing Englsih and Maths.



Each unit will be awarded a grade, pass, merit or distinction.

Students should be self-motivated learners able to manage their time well, particularly working to deadlines and prioritising tasks. They should be willing to take chances to improve their work and to experiment with new technologies.
