Business Administration Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship at Lancaster and Morecambe College

Course description

As an Apprentice you really do get the best of both worlds; you will earn a salary and gain real experience in the workplace with your employer as well as working towards a nationally recognised NVQ and other qualifications. Apprenticeships are suitable for well-motivated people who are focussed and know which career path they want to follow. They offer high quality work-based training as an alternative to full time study. This programme is aimed at people who are employed, or are seeking employment. You will need to be 16 years of age or over.

Course content

• Employment should be for a minimum of 30 hours per week, with training in the workplace • Assessor visits in the workplace every 3 – 4 weeks • Functional Skills level 1 for the level 2 Apprenticeship and level 2 for the level 3 Apprenticeship • Employment Rights and Responsibilities

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship covers: • Communication • Designing and producing documents • Dealing with internal and external customers • Researching and analysing information • Planning and organising meetings • Supervising an office facility

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade A*-C including English and maths OR a Level 2 related qualification. Relevant work experience will also be considered Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager. 

Assessment

This course is continuously assessed in the workplace using a range of methods including portfolio building, on the job assessment, presentations and some exams. 

Financial information

Apprenticeship training is currently fully funded for under 24s, however this is subject to change. 

Further information

On completion of this course you will receive NVQ Level 2, 3 or 4 in Business and Administration, Certificate in the Principles of Business and Administration and Functional Skills
