Law A2 Level at Barnet and Southgate College

Course description

A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to University courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE and AS qualifications.

Course content

A2 Law Specification - H534 Examining Board - OCR Unit 1 - Criminal Law. Will include the offences of murder and manslaughter, preliminary crimes, general defences, property and non-fatal offences against the person. Unit 2 - Synoptic * In addition, Tutorial will be added.

Entry requirements

2 AS Levels at grades A-D including this subject. E grades will be considered on an individual basis. GCSE English grade B or above.

Assessment

Assessment will be through examination only.

Financial information

Yes, recommended reading includes: Criminal Law by Storey & Lidbury Criminal Law by Elliott & Quinn Visits will include a trip to the Old Bailey and a Law Conference.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course, you may progress to a University course of your choosing according to the subjects and grades that you have achieved.
