Mathematics A-Level at London Nautical School

Course description

In order to achieve A Level in mathematics, students require 6 modules of study (4 compulsory, 2 optional). Year 12s follow the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) syllabus studying three modules in total. These are made up of two compulsory core modules (C1) and (C2) in addition to Statistics (S1) as the optional module. In year 13, they study towards the Advanced (A2) level programme taking the remainder of the compulsory core units C3 and C4 in addition to Mechanics (M1) as the last option. Further mathematics is also offered for students who wish to strengthen their understanding and application of mathematics. At this stage, students are encouraged to engage with lots of independent work and are well supported.
