Most students progress from Pathways to a mainstream course in their chosen vocational area.
Students are assessed on their progress throughout the year and build a portfolio of evidence. The work is validated by an external verifier from AIM Awards. Functional skills will involve tests at the appropriate level. Some vocational options will involve the purchase of equipment or uniform. Students choosing Health and Social Care will require a DBS check through the college. Students are encouraged to find their own work placement, of which their will be a health and safety assessment of the setting prior to commencement. If students struggle to find a work placement, our work placement coordinator will assist.
