Further information

Learning is based on classroom tuition and guidance, group discussion and individual work assignments. Students will be set regular homework and common assessment tests at the end of each topic. There is a dedicated textbook and students are encouraged to purchase other textbooks. Students are expected to use the library, moodle, websites and the twitter feed to expand their knowledge. A considerable amount of self-study is required to achieve a high grade.

Psychology is a very interesting and wide ranging subject, which is becoming very popular. However, it has a large content and students should find out more about the subject before they select it. Students will need to learn a large amount of research studies and psychological theory. They have to be prepared to do extensive reading around the topics studied in class. Students will be required to evaluate scientific evidence.
