Customer Service Apprenticeship Level 3 at Warwickshire College Group

Course description

Our Customer Service Apprenticeship programme offers you the opportunity to improve your existing skills within your current job role, and gain evidence that you are competent when dealing with both internal and external customers. Whichever path your career takes you down, customer service skills will be essential for your success.

Course content

Units include Communicate Effectively with Customers, Dealing with Customers in Writing and Electronically and Promote Additional Services or Products to Customers. You will also study Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Entry requirements

This Apprenticeship is designed for candidates who will be delivering and managing service. Preferably you need to have four GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent, or a Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship.

You need to be employed in a role which requires you to work without direct supervision.

You need to have good communication skills and a wide knowledge of what to do and who to see to get things done for a customer. Entrants at this level are likely to have some prior experience in a customer service role. You may be involved in managing the service sometimes without direct supervision.


You will be assessed on your ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with your work.

You will be continually assessed throughout the course by means of practical assessments and written tasks or assignments. 

Future opportunities

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship you will achieve the OCR Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service and Functional Skills at Level 2 in English and Maths. You could progress on to the Level 4 NVQ or into a more senior job role such as senior customer service supervisor or manager.
