Art & Design (Fashion) Level 2 at South & City College Birmingham

Course description

This course will introduce you to the world of fashion and design, and give you a practical introduction to the skills and techniques needed in order to be able to make your own garments. You will learn about the fashion industry including exploring and researching your design ideas. By the end of the year you will have a portfolio of designs and will have created your own garment.

Entry requirements

You will need four GCSEs grade D-G or a level 1 qualification.

Future opportunities

This course will provide the opportunity to progress on to BTEC Diploma in Fashion and Clothing Level 3, or another level 3 course in a related subject. You could also seek employment in pattern cutting, garment technology, design teams and styling, as a CAD technician, in marketing or buying.
