Floristry Intermediate Apprenticeship at Shipley College
This is an excellent introduction to a career in floristry. You learn a range of practical techniques including gift-wrapping, hand-tied bouquets and arrangements. You also build up your knowledge of the principles of floristry and retailing.
- First of all you need to find an apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area.
- You must pass an initial assessment in English, maths & ICT. or have recently gained GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) in English and maths.
- You will have an interview.
You are assessed on your practical skills and through written assignments.
After completing your apprenticeship you can progress on to further study such as the part-time Floristry BTEC Level 3 or enter the industry as an employed or self employed Florist.
