Art & Design BTEC Level 2 Diploma at Queen Mary's College

Course description

This one year level 2 course (equivalent to 4 GCSE's at A* - C) will give you a broad experience of many aspects of Art, Craft and Design. It is a six module course, with the opportunity to retake English Language and Mathematics GCSE if this has not been achieved at grade C. The course includes drawing, painting, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, and digital imagery, and you will also look at the work of other artists and designers.

Assessment

You will be assessed mainly on the practical work you collect in your portfolio, but there will also be written elements throughout the year. It will be helpful if you already have some experience of Art, Design or Craft, but interest in, and enthusiasm for, these subjects is more important.
