Level 1 Functional Skills. • VRQ: Health & Safety, Technology, Workshop Tasks. • NVQ/VCQ: Practical Tasks at Work (Job Cards). • Changing Components/Rectifying Faults.

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above to incude Mathematics and English Language or IMI Level 1 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair with Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics or BTEC Level 1 Certificate/Diploma with Level 1 English and Mathematics. Satisfactory references, good attendance record and employment in the motor trade.
Continuous assessment through practical ‘on the job’ situations and portfolio of evidence. Functional Skills will be assessed by examination and VRQ by online multiple choice examinations.
Advanced Apprenticeship providing suitable employment is available. Employment as a Vehicle Technician.
