Physical Education A Level at Macmillan Academy

Course description

The new A level physical education specification allows you to study the full range of sports sciences including physiology, psychology, biomechanics and sociology. You will learn the fundamentals of each discipline as well as the impact they can have on sports participation and performance. In conjunction with the development of theoretical knowledge you are also assessed in one practical activity. Ideally you will be actively involved in sport both within and outside of the academy. However, if you have an interest in sport and sports science and are not currently participating at a competitive level you have the opportunity to undertake a programme of rock climbing tuition and assessment as part of the course which has previously produced excellent results for a range of candidates.

Entry requirements
