'The City & Guild diploma in Plumbing is a qualification that will help learners progress as a Plumber and Heating Engineer.The qualification is both theory and practical. The theory sessions will cover units such as;• Working safely • Common Plumbing Processes• Hot & Cold Water• Central HeatingThe practical sessions will include;• Bending jointing and fabricating, Steel, Copper and Plastics• Installations of components such as Guttering, radiators and bathroom components
Entry requirements
'Learners are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade D and above. Candidates will be expected to be enthusiastic about embarking on a career in Plumbing and have an aptitude for practical activities.
Future opportunities
'The qualifications provide progression on to level 3 or NVQ level 2 as an apprentice Plumbers
