Joinery - Site Carpentry Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeship at Bradford College
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training within college by day release.
Site carpentry apprentices work with wood on construction sites or in domestic or commercial premises to fit or repair doors, window frames, staircases, floorboards, cupboards, roof trusses and partitions. They use traditional woodworking tools as well as specialised power or hand tools for cutting, shaping, smoothing and finishing.
- Fitting floor boards
- Installing staircases, door frames, skirting boards and bannisters
- Measuring out materials and cutting out accordingly
- Kitchen fitting.
You will be required to study on a day release basis.
GCSE English and Mathematics at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB.
