Wood Occupations Bench Joinery Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at Bedford College
This Advanced Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience you will need to carry out a range of joinery work to the standards agreed by the leading industry bodies. This course will enable you to gain a good overall understanding of the wood trade, while also providing you with industry-recognised skills and qualification, ensuring that you complete the course with a good grounding for future career development. You will learn how to manufacture shaped/curved joinery products and have an understanding of how construction site are managed. Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes: you work and get paid to gain industry qualifications. This course will combine the practical hands-on experience of the workplace with the knowledge and understanding gained through a College course.
You must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job role and have a Bench Joinery Level 2 Diploma or a Bench Joinery Level 2 Apprenticeship.
The practical elements of this course will consist of on-going training and assessment, with an end-of-course synoptic test. The theory elements will be assessed through progress tests, assignments, unit tests and an end of course final exam.
Apprenticeships train you in the skills that employers want, so when youve finished you can carry on working, and potentially get promoted. On successful completion of this course you could progress on to full employment in the construction industry.
