Plumbing Craft Level 2 at Swindon College

Course description

This course will give you the training and skills required to enter the plumbing industry and to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. The course is split between theory and practical sessions.

Areas of work and knowledge covered will include:

Health & Safety in the Building Industry, Electrical Principles and processes for Building Services, Engineering, Scientific Principles, Common Plumbing Processes, Cold Water Systems, Domestic Hot Water Systems, Sanitation, Central Heating Systems, Drainage Systems and understand how to communicate with others within Building Services Engineering.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for the course are minimum two GCSEs at grade C or above in English and maths, Functional Skills Level 2 or the successful completion of Level 1 Plumbing course.

Future opportunities

On completion of this course you will be able to progress onto the NVQ Level 2 Apprenticeship in Plumbing.
