Physical Education A Level at Cirencester College

Course description

Our Physical Education A level 2 year course allows students to participate in a course that will play to both practical and theoretical strengths within PE. The course will include a range of modules that will prepare students for Higher Education or the workplace.

Modules include:

  • applied anatomy and physiology
  • sport and society
  • skill acquisition
  • exercise physiology
  • sport psychology
  • biomechanical movement
  • technology in physical activity and sportThe course will be selective on practical ability and academic achievement. Students must play at county level or equivalent in at least one sport to qualify for this as well as having a B grade in GCSE PE and a C in GCSE Science.
