Course description

Economics encourages the development and understanding of economic concepts and theories through considering current economic issues and problems that affect everyday life.

Studying economics gives an applied understanding of a wide range of current issues, from the effectiveness of government policy to the cause of poverty in developing countries. Not only does the course allow the transfer of knowledge, it provides opportunities for skills to be developed and put into practice. Research skills, data analysis, problem solving, communication and working with others, are all important in the study of Economics.
