We have the solution Traineeships are an amazing new opportunity for you to get your life and future back on track.

Course content

Traineeships are designed to help those aged 16 and up to 23 years old, to be ‘work ready’ and gain the skills you need before moving onto an Apprenticeship or into employment, and it comes with a guaranteed work placement!

We have places available on Traineeship programmes to enrol on now in January 2014.

Traineeships give you the opportunity to build your CV and get vital experience with local and national employers.

If required, a Traineeship will also help in improving your English and maths skills will boost your chances of getting a job.

Calderdale College is starting a new Work Readiness Programme to prepare young people for the workplace. A Traineeship will put you in a better position to compete for an Apprenticeship, Traineeship or job.

Financial information

If you are between aged 16 and 18, this course is FREE.  If you are aged 19 or over and claiming a means tested benefit you may be entitled to full remission or a reduction in your fees. A waiving of tuition fees may be available in other circumstances.   For more information on fee remission please contact Student Services for more details
