Basic Construction Skills - Level 1 (Award, Certificate, Diploma) at Moorlands College (BCB)

Course description

As part of the National Apprenticeship Programme Barnsley Community Build have collaborated with Berneslai Homes (BMBC), The Coalfield Regeneration Trust and Barnsley College to capitalise on the potential of 20 modern apprentices to work as general building operatives on community based projects around the Barnsley borough.

Entry requirements

The primary target group is 16 - 19 year olds not in education, employment or training (NEET), which have been recruited from Job Centre Plus and TIAG. The programme will offer an apprenticeship wage subsidy over a period of 50 weeks with all apprenticeships including an appropriate level 2 qualification, this programme will consist of Diploma, N.V.Q., Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, where Practical components will be on site at CRS Royston and Theory will be held at Moorland College.
