Design and Technology (Product Design) A Level at Chipping Campden School
This course aims:
- To develop awareness in all aspects of design activity including sensitivity to aesthetic factors and accuracy in the choice and use of materials.
- To encourage candidates to apply their knowledge and understanding of design and technology to familiar and unfamiliar situations and problems.
- To develop numeric and communication skills and scientific knowledge appropriate to design and technology.
- To provide an opportunity for candidates to exercise initiative, imagination and resourcefulness in the solution of design problems.
Design, Make and Evaluate
Grade C or above in any one of the design and technology options: graphics, electronics and resistant materials. Portfolio entry may be possible for non-GCSE students.
