Course description

The nutrient composition: Structure and performance characteristics of food The relationship between nutrition and good health Food choice The availability and marketing of food Large scale food production Designing and making a food prototype.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Design and Technology or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to Design and Technology and Electronics such as an Technician, Electrician or Design Engineer. You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
