IT Users (ITQ) (Entry 3) BTEC Certificate at Northumberland College

Course description

This course is for under 18s who have limited experience with information technology.

Course content

You will study a whole range of topics on this course from learning how to operate a computer and troubleshoot any problems to editing photographs in Photoshop, designing leaflets in a word processor and creating a simple web pages.

Entry requirements

You do not need any formal qualifications although knowing how to switch on/off and having the confidence to move a mouse around and open and close packages would be an advantage.

Assessment

Your progress will be assessed on a continual basis. Work completed in your class will be marked by your tutor and placed into a portfolio. You will have achieved the qualification on full completion of the portfolio of evidence.

Future opportunities

After completing the course it is hoped that having gained some solid foundation skills in IT you would progress to a full level 2 qualification.
