Course description

The Level 3 Diploma in Travel & Tourism will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to start a successful career in the tourism industry or to progress onto a university course.

This course is designed to be tailored to your needs, interests and career aspirations. It consists of compulsory core units together with a choice of optional units from a wide variety of specialist areas whilst also introducing the Cabin Crew sector of airline work. This course will allow you to focus on what interests you in the Travel and Tourism industry.

Entry requirements

Entry Requirements:

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or a pass grade at a relevant Level 2 vocational course.

 

Specific Entry Requirements:

GCSE English at grade C or above preferred.

Assessment

Internally and externally assessed coursework with practical elements.

Financial information

Work experience, visits and other costs to be paid during the year as required.

First Year: Visits approx £200

Second Year: Visits approx £100 (not including residential visits).

    • Our Moulsham Street campus has everything you would expect from a modern, well-equipped college campus - and much more besides. Here you will find excellent facilities for work, study and relaxation, laid out over a four-floor site with car parking and good links to buses. 

      The campus offers the highest quality teaching and support within a relaxed, student-focused atmosphere.       In addition to Art & Design and Media, our Moulsham Street campus also houses our Childcare and Health & Social Care departments; Applied Science and Extended Learning departments; Sport and Public Services departments. As well as Business, IT and Travel & Tourism.

      The campus also houses a Learning Centre, Skills Development Centre, Assessment Centre, Tutorial Centre, a Copyshop and Refectory. Situated on the grounds of this campus are Dovedale Nursery and Dovedale Sports Centre.
