Wall and Floor Tiling Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship at Northumberland College

Course description

This course is for anyone who is employed as a tiler who would like to develop their skills and knowledge to a higher level.

Course content

You will study safe working practices in construction, building methods and construction technology, how to provide drainage for tiled surfaces, produce internal and external sand and cement backgrounds and produce tiles, mosaic and stone surface finishes. Ideal if you are employed as a wall and floor tiler and wish to progress on from the Level 2 course.

Entry requirements

You should have a relevant Level 2 qualification and be employed in the industry.


Your progress will be assessed through practical and knowledge assignments, additional work based assessments will be carried out by our assessment team

Future opportunities

After successfully completing the course you will be a fully qualified tiler. You may decide to become self-employed as a subcontractor, work for a company or start your own company.
