Course description

Often named as one of the three best jobs in the UK, as a web developer, you can gain a broad understanding of web design or web programming - or gain skills in both.


This course will help you understand and practice in industry standard design and development technologies, methods and languages including HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and ASP.

Course content

You will have an opportunity to learn about web development for a range of devices, including desktop browsers, smart phones and tablets and cover areas such as social media, search engine optimisation (SEO) and third party application programming interfaces (APIs).

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs with the following grades: English 4 and maths at 3 or above, and 3 other GCSEs grade 4 or above.

HNC Computing or Software Development (Level 4); Apprenticeship in Software Developer, Cyber Security Technologist or Network Engineer (Level 4).
