Course description

Looking for a way to train your workforce in the skills required improving and maintaining your business? Advanced Catering Apprenticeship could be the answer. Consider recruiting an apprentice or develop an existing employee, allowing them to learn the skills and techniques they need whilst achieving a nationally recognised qualification. A course designed to up skill young people working in the catering industry. Units include: The hospitality industry, principles of covering customer service performance, financial control in hospitality, supervisory skills in the hospitality industry, food and drink service & alcoholic beverage service, hospitality business enterprise, marketing for hospitality and personal selling skills for hospitality, planning and managing a hospitality event and an industry related project in hospitality. Applicants will need to have relevant employment within the industry. Our Business Account Managers can assist in helping you secure a position if you do not already have one.

Relevant GCSEs and interest in the occupational area

Financial information

Apprenticeships are government funded, depending upon age and circumstance. However, you will need access to the internet either at home or at work and may wish to keep a file for notes and general information.

Future opportunities

Progress onto a higher level NVQ; promotion within the workplace or further career options in the Catering Industry.
