Independent Living Skills at Hull College Group

Course description

These qualifications will be of benefit to students who are beginning their journey towards independent living by raising awareness and developing skills around issues that they are likely to face.  Additionally they will also be useful for those students who have already embarked on the journey and need to develop or further develop skills in specific areas.

All students will also have Maths and English sessions to maintain and improve these skills.

Students with a learning difficulty and or disability will be able to access support within the classroom from specialist support staff and tutors.

Entry requirements

No formal qualifications required, however, applicants must demonstrate an interest and commitment to the course and complete the induction programme.

The College is also fortunate to have an active Student Union which hosts an annual ‘Freshers’ Fair’ for students at the beginning of the Autumn term and organises social events throughout the year.

      Hull College students benefit from some of the best facilities in the country – and that’s official! Our most recent Ofsted report stated that the College has “outstanding specialist facilities”.
